If you receive an HWP or HWPX file but do not have the Hangul word processor installed, open it directly in the browser to see the original page layout. Fonts are substituted with free alternatives, so typefaces may look different, but text positions and page breaks follow the original.

HWPX is the newer open standard (Korean national standard KS X 6101, "OWPML") introduced in 2014. It is a ZIP archive of XML files, much like .docx. HWP is the older binary format. This viewer reads both.
