In one line

Keepdesk is a set of 51 office tools and 13 party games that run entirely in your browser. Open HWP files; merge, split and shrink PDFs; convert, crop and cut out images; work with PowerPoint and Excel files; record your screen; and calculate dates, severance pay and VAT. Your files and input never leave your device. No sign-up, no watermarks, no limits.

Why nothing is uploaded

Transcripts, contracts, ID cards and official letters end up on 'converter sites' far too often. We built the opposite. The code that reads your file runs in your browser, so the service is structurally unable to collect it. Disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools keep working — that is the simplest way to check we mean it.

Who makes it

SENULA COMPANY builds and runs Keepdesk. We are a small team, and each tool page states what it can and cannot do. Conversion is never perfect — substituted fonts shift lines, compression loses detail — and we do not hide those limits.

What it is built on

Open source. HWP parsing uses hwp-convert and rhwp; PDF uses pdf.js and pdf-lib; Excel uses SheetJS; PowerPoint uses PptxGenJS; background removal uses ONNX Runtime Web with the U²-Net model; GIF and TIFF use gifenc and UTIF.js; compression uses fflate; QR codes use qrcode-generator; the fonts are Inter, Manrope and Pretendard. Every licence and copyright notice is on the open source page.

Cost

Free. Your device does the work, so our server costs are close to zero, and Google AdSense ads on the pages cover running costs. Even with ads, files are never sent to a server: the moment you add a file, Local Shield locks the tab's main outbound channels. Ad cookies are explained in the privacy policy.

How the blog is written

Blog posts are drafted with AI writing tools, then checked line by line against our tool fact sheet — a record of what each tool actually does. Sentences that claim features a tool does not have, wrong numbers and unverifiable statistics are removed or corrected. Photos in a post that were made with AI are labelled "AI-generated image" at the end of the caption. Legal and tax content is general guidance only; please confirm with the relevant authority or a professional. Posts that are too thin or overlap others are kept out of search until they are improved, and we deliberately publish only a few posts a day.
